In a special conversation with Local 18, Mahendra told that he is a makeup hair stylist by profession and has been active in this field for the last 12 years. During this time, he has worked as an assistant stylist with well-known faces of Bollywood like Rajamurad, Shatrughan Sinha, and Shraddha Kapoor. Presently he is providing his services in the prestigious salon of Bokaro.
Mahendra’s interest towards art
Regarding his interest in art, Mahendra told that since childhood he loved doing pencil sketches and painting. However, due to family responsibilities he had to lend a hand in the family business. To give a professional form to this art, Mahendra took a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from the Center for Ancient Arts, Chandigarh and later did a PhD in Hair and Makeup from the famous Javed Habib and Beauty Academy, Delhi.
story of struggles
Recalling his struggles, Mahendra told that he belongs to a poor family. His father Ramkishan used to cut hair by visiting people’s homes in the village, and his mother Prema Devi was a housewife. Due to the weak financial condition of the family, it was very difficult for him to study in big cities. Later, the people of his village, BCCL manager J.K. With the help of Singh and MP Dhullu Mahato, he completed his studies in Delhi.
future plans
Mahendra told that his next goal is to establish an academy, where he can provide employment opportunities to the talented youth of Jharkhand by training them in hair and makeup.
